   Owner/Outfitter Julie Meissner has been working on the rivers and in the mountains of Idaho guiding clients fishing, skiing, backpacking, and rafting for over 25 years. She grew up in the mountains of Oregon, fishing and hiking in the summers and ski racing in the winters before moving to the Sawtooth Mountain, Salmon River area of Idaho. She is a Federation of Fly Fishers Certified Casting Instructor, experienced river guide and enjoys working with beginner flyfishers as well as those who desire to hone their skills. She is currently working on her spey casting skills. The consumate guide and outfitter, Julie will pay attention to every detail of your fishing vacation.
Steve Cole comes from a life time of fishing. Steve has fished these waters from the time he was a very young man. Steve and his father Bob and partner Nick were the former owners of Sawtooth Guide Service, a fishing guide service located in Stanley as far back as the days of legal Salmon fishing opportunities on the Main Salmon River headwaters near Stanley. Steve is our mentor and trained several of our guides.  He is currently not guiding but some day when he retires from his "real job" we hope to reup his "guide status!"  Look for him out on the river.
Verlon Herndon has lived over 30 years in the area and lives to fish and ski! As near as we can tell, there aren't many areas he hasn't tried fishing in our mountains and valleys. A knowledgeable fly tyer as well as guide and instructor, Verlon spends his days off fishing! He is our lead summer guide and know's the local waters "like the back of his hand! Verlon is also a Federation of Fly Fishers Certified Casting Instructor and enjoys helping others with their casting skills.

Sparky Easom is a veteran whitewater and fishing guide. Sparky has spent over 25 years guiding in this area. He is as knowledgeable about where to find fish as he is about the birds, wildflowers and animals of the area. He is very tuned into teaching the basics of flyfishing and casting and has the ability to make learning and honing skills very simple.

  MaryEllen Easom is our local head school teacher at the Stanley School and in the summer, she brings her natural teaching ability to our fishing guests.  She also knows the local flora and fauna very well and has a good eye for locating where the fish are.

Bob Sevy is founder and former owner of Sevy Guide Service, an adventure boating and backcountry company.  He has run custom wilderness trips to Alaska, Russia and many other areas as well as the 30 year business on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River that he recently retired from.   He is as knowledgeable a guide as can be found and can tell the best fish stories of anyone we know.  He knows the area and the fish as well as anyone that can be found.  A pleasure to fish with!
Bev Angel is a fisherwoman of many years. She adds her knowledge of the Middle Fork of the Salmon and the tributaries of the Middle Fork, as well as the Main Salmon to our guide service. She constantly strives to learn about new techniques and waters for fishing. She still works as a guide for many Middle Fork Float trips as well as runs her own business sewing specialty items for river outfitters. Fishing with Bev is always a fun time!
Lisa Muscavage is a longtime Stanley Basin resident who spends winters skiing and teaching at the Stanley School.  She spends her summers hiking and fishing and is one of the most fun guides we have spent time with in the mountain lakes and she loves to share her knowledge of the secrets of fishing the mountain lakes as well as the local streams.
Jason Brunson grew up in Idaho and has fished the local area for many years. He lives in the Stanley-Sawtooth area full time and spends his time off either fishing, hunting or skiing. He just returned from two months in Central America.
Bob Nall is our spey casting instructor and a fine steelhead and trout fishing guide as well. He is a pleasure to fish with and manages to fish for Steelhead almost everyday on his way home from work. He lives in Salmon, Idaho and we are glad he has some days in March and April available to come to our area and guide for us.
